Job Description The LIfeguard Loop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the aquatics staff and ensuring all SwimJim facilities meet the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and reports to either the Uptown or Downtown Aquatics Facility Manager, depending on the assigned route territory. As a Lifeguard Loop Supervisor you will be responsible for visits to a set route of Pool facilities in either uptown or downtown Manhattan during each shift. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and guide lifeguards and aquatics staff to ensure professional and efficient facility operations. * Ensure all staff are present, punctual, in uniform, and following safety protocols. * Monitor staff performance, address attendance issues, and manage shift coverage and scheduling. * Oversee completion of daily checklists, pool chemical readings, and required documentation. * Inspect pool equipment / facilities and report issues with safety and mechanical systems. * Plan and organize staff assignments, workloads, and schedules to ensure all shifts are covered, covering Lifeguard shifts as needed. * Train, coach, and evaluate aquatic staff, supporting their professional development. * Conduct interviews, orientations, and hiring for new lifeguard staff. * Communicate with staff regarding expiring certifications, time off requests, and disciplinary matters.
