Company: Gagne & Son, LLC Location: Kittery- with coverage in other locations as needed Position: Retail Store Manager POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contact, develop and maintain long lasting business relationships with new and existing Concrete Construction and General Contractors.
• Learn our catalog of resale and manufactured products.
• Work closely with Finance, Purchasing, and other Sales locations, to ensure timely billing, adequate inventory levels and accurate delivery.
• Manage inventory and minimize shrink through solid operational practices.
• Develop the retail space to its fullest potential and create displays that draw customers.
• Process orders in our Point-of-Sale system.
• Accurately handle payments by Cash, Checks, Credit Cards and Charges to Customer Accounts who have credit terms.
• Control store overhead and operating costs.
• Maintain a professional image in self and work environment.
• Manage a team of 3-5 employees in day-to-day store operations
• Responsible for holding employees accountable to Gagne and Son standards and expectations. This includes training, coaching and disciplinary action when required.
• Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
• Analyze and interpret sales trends to facilitate planning.
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service, health and safety are met.
• Address and resolve customer issues promptly.
• Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean environment, obeying and enforcing all safety and legal requirements.
• Assist with other duties as needed. Recommended Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proven track record of success leading a sales team.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Knowledge of landscaping and masonry products a plus.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Good communication skills and a positive, proactive approach to people.
• Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, with attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic - reliable, positive attitude, self-starter. Job

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical. Job Type: Full-time
