The Sales Engineer acts as a technical liaison for channel partners, direct sales, account management, and wholesale clients, providing pre- and post- sales support to ensure customers understand MaxxSouth's products and services. This role partners with the Engineering Department to design and implement advanced solutions such as voice, MPLS, Security-as-a-Service, and SD-WAN, while collaborating with key internal teams including Sales, Customer Service, Technical Operations, and Account Management. *What You 'll Do: * Support sales teams and partners with technical proposals and solution design. * Analyze client needs and create profitable, tailored solutions. * Serve as a liaison for technical troubleshooting and custom requests. * Deliver product presentations, field support, and bi-annual sales training. * Contribute to RFP responses and product development initiatives. * Prepare and lead training on new products and features. * Attend industry events for competitive insights and trend analysis. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards. * *Education & Experience * Required: * * Associate's degree in engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or related field. * Minimum 2 years of IP Network and/or Technical Sales experience. * Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 networks, DNS, Hosted PBX (VoIP), DOCSIS 3.0/3.1, DIA, and Point-to-Point connections. * Associate-level certification from Cisco, Juniper, etc (must remain current) * Preferred: * * Bachelor's degree in engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or related field. * 4+ years of IP Network and/or Technical Sales experience. * Familiarity with routing and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, MPLS-TE, RSVP, SD-WAN, STP), QoS implementations, and IP network security (Firewalls, CG-NAT).
