Position Overview: We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Director of Sponsorships to lead and grow all sponsorship sales across our portfolio of events. This individual will be responsible for securing strategic partnerships, creating memorable brand activations, and ensuring our sponsors receive exceptional value through face-to-face engagement with our audiences. This is a high-visibility role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves making connections, and is passionate about bringing brands to life at live events. Key Responsibilities: * Lead sponsorship sales for major Galaxy Events including Taste of Syracuse, Syracuse Nationals, Lights on the Lake, Wine & Chocolate Festivals, and additional signature events. * Develop and execute sponsorship sales strategies to grow revenue across all events. * Build strong, long-term relationships with local, regional, and national brands. * Create customized activation opportunities that help brands make meaningful, face-to-face connections with consumers. * Collaborate with event operations and marketing teams to ensure seamless delivery of sponsor benefits. * Maintain accurate reports, forecasts, and documentation of all sponsorship sales activity. * Represent Galaxy Events in the community and at industry functions as needed. * Innovate new ideas for sponsor engagement, onsite experiences, and partnership expansion. Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, media sales, event sales, or a related field. * Proven success in generating revenue and closing high-value partnerships. * Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. * Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of goals and results. * Passion for live events, community engagement, and building relationships. * Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
