Goodin Company is recruiting an outside sales representative to join our successful sales team. The outside sales representative will grow sales and increase company profits by cultivating current customers and recruiting new customers. Job Duties: As a successful Outside Sales Representative, you will: * Demonstrate ability to integrate industry partners into sales opportunities. * Demonstrate leadership in regional industry associations * Learn and demonstrate understanding of basic business analytic skills and their application to customers' businesses (e.g., National Builder, distributor, plumber, engineer, architect, etc.). * Demonstrate skill in prioritizing customers, product promotion, activity management, campaign deployment and training. * Incorporate the selling process within proposal writing and pricing models to match company expectations. * Build relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and customers to foster loyalty and repeat business * Demonstrate effective Presentation Skills to successfully influence and communicate with various audience types and sizes. * Sales Strategies: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and goals * Customer Support: Provide ongoing support and assistance to clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs. Skills and Qualifications * Sales Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and meet sales targets. * Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey product or service benefits to clients. * Product Knowledge: A good understanding of the product or service being sold and the ability to explain its features and benefits. * Customer Service: Dedication to customer service and building long term client relationships. * Time Management: Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage a busy schedule. * Problem Solving: A positive approach to identifying and solving client issues or objections. * Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs. * Computer Proficiency: Solid basic computer skills for generating quotes, sales orders, and daily communication. Education and Experience * High School, College and/or Tech School preferred * Previous outside sales experience is needed. * Experience with Order, Quotation software. * Knowledge of building material distribution preferable in Mechanical Trades. Physical Demands * May occasionally lift 25 pounds. * Regular use of hands, arms, and fingers in order to feel, grasp, type, or reach. * Ability to sit at a computer terminal and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time. * Close vision requirements due to computer work.
