Full description of the position

Excel Personnel is the premier local staffing agency located in Denver! We have been connecting candidates with great companies since 1992, and We Love What We Do! We currently have a direct hire opening for a Regional Sales Manager, specifically for architectural products and technical sales, in the bay area of San Francisco, CA. Our client manufacturers specialized cladding materials marketed to architects and sold through an established customer base (installing subcontractors). This role would require travel within an assigned market for meetings with architects and customers. Your territory would be focused on Northern California, Northern Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Training on processes and products will be provided - strong self-starter abilities required for other skills. ((This is a remote role; however you must reside in the San Francisco Bay area so you're near the office when you need any product examples, supplies, etc.)) Pay Range: $80K to $95K, DOE, plus commissions Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours/flexible) Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Promotion of products to architects * Support of technical detailing and product specification questions * Managing incoming calls with polite and supportive manner * Actively Maintaining Sales Contact (CRM) Database - Salesforce * Following up with manufacturer-supplied sales inquiries/leads through phone contact and face-to-face meetings * Supporting customers in market with lead generation, training on products and project follow-up * Communicating progress of new project opportunities in Salesforce and Swisspearl CRM Databases. * Travel to territory to actively promote products to architects and contractors to achieve annual territory sales goals. * Working with Head of Sales to define expectations and establish territory goals and sales strategies. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in a construction related discipline (Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering) * 6-8 years' work experience, ideally with construction exterior materials (DIV 7) * Experience with CRM database programs (Experience with Salesforce highly preferred) * Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer used daily) * Prompt follow-up on leads, proposals and tasks * Proficient in reading Construction Documents * Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings * Basics of reading CAD drawings * Good people skills * Desire and willingness to learn new skills is mandatory Location of Duties : you must be based in the northern California, San Francisco Bay area. Commission Compensation*:* Commissions will accrue on an annual basis via the following tiered compensation plan, paid after receipt of payment from the customer, billed on a percentage completion basis: * 1st Tier Sales Commission: 1% of annual sales starting at $1 of sales * 2nd Tier Sales Commission at $2.5M+: An additional 0.50% of annual sales in excess of $2,500,000.00 in territory.
