Air Export Agent (Japanese Bilingual) Location: On-site Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week) Employment Type: Temporary-to-Full-time (T-F) Salary: $19-$21/hour About the Role Our customer is seeking an Air Export Agent (Japanese Bilingual) to support air export operations and documentation. This role is responsible for preparing and distributing export documents, coordinating with airlines, monitoring shipments, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth day- to-day export operations. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and process air export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and airway bills * Coordinate bookings with airlines and ensure space availability * Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays or issues * Ensure compliance with customs regulations, TSA security requirements, and international trade laws * Communicate with clients regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and special handling needs * Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, operations, and finance * Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems * Assist with rate negotiations and provide quotations to customers when required Qualifications * Japanese * High school diploma or equivalent (relevant work experience will be considered) * Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel; logistics systems experience is a plus) * Basic knowledge of international trade, export documentation, and customs regulations preferred * Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills * Good teamwork skills and inclination Skills * High attention to detail and accuracy * Problem-solving and decision-making abilities * Strong customer service orientation * Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Job Type: Temp-to-hire Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * Health insurance * Paid time off Work Location: In person
