Highlighted Expectations * Profitably grow sales by cross selling various Company products to existing and new customers. This includes products produced by Company subsidiaries. * Provide first in class service to customers through in-person visitation to build significant trust, credibility and long-term relationships with plant engineers, plant managers, and maintenance managers while providing consultative, solution-based advice. * Work cross functionally with colleagues in manufacturing, engineering, customer support, and finance in a collaborative, friendly, and respectful manner to satisfy the needs of customers. * Be willing to embrace Company values--Foster Trust & Mutual Respect; Grow the Business; Do What You Say; Go Above & Beyond; Bring a Positive Attitude! Roles & Responsibilities * Focus on establishing regular face to face meetings with customers and prospects. Proficient in setting appointments, organizing travel, and managing a strong calling regimen. * Develop and implement sales strategies to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for sales growth with customers and prospects. * Serve as an advisor to existing customers, consulting with them on conveyor product needs, resolving problems and answering questions. * Record, track and carefully follow up on RFQ's in process and report regular RFQ updates to management as requested. * Work collaboratively with production, engineering, customer support, and other colleagues to achieve a great customer experience for customers. * Attend regular weekly sales meetings, annual trade shows and annual sales conference. * Provide call reports to management as requested reflecting sales activity and the interests of customers in Company's products and services. * Rigorously pursue cross selling all Company products including those made by Company's subsidiary companies. * Exhibit the core competencies of being customer driven, collaborative, quality focused, accountable to others, self-managed, communicative, and detail oriented. Requirements * Preferred: BS Engineering Degree (mechanical preferred). * 5-10 years of work experience with demonstrated success in technical sales. * Experience with the beef, pork and poultry food production industry preferred. * Computer literate with experience in Excel, Word, CRM software such as Salesforce, etc. * Strong verbal & writing skills. Comfortable building relationships with others. * Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand problems and suggest solutions. * Prior experience developing sales account plans, while meeting and exceeding an established annual sales goal by accounts or territory responsibilities.
