Kruse Ford Lincoln is seeking a motivated, results-driven Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle operation. This role is critical to the success of both our used car inventory and budget lot , requiring strong sales ability, leadership, and market awareness. The ideal candidate is hands-on, understands how to acquire the right vehicles, coach sales teams, and drive profitability while maintaining an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Management of used vehicle inventory , including the main used lot and budget lot * Acquisition of used vehicles through trade-ins, auctions, direct purchases, and other sourcing channels * Accurate and competitive appraisal of customer trade-ins * Pricing and merchandising used vehicles to align with current market conditions * Oversight of vehicle reconditioning to ensure quality, speed, and cost efficiency * Coaching, training, and developing sales staff with a focus on used vehicle sales performance * Working deals on the showroom floor and assisting in closing when needed * Collaborating with Sales Managers, F&I, and Service departments to maximize department performance * Monitoring inventory turn, aging, and gross profit to ensure department goals are met * Ensuring online listings, photos, and vehicle descriptions are accurate and compelling * Maintaining compliance with all dealership policies and state and federal regulations Qualifications & Skills * Strong automotive sales ability is a must , with a proven track record of closing deals * Solid understanding of used vehicle operations, pricing, and market dynamics * Ability to lead, coach, and influence others through example and performance * Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment * Familiarity with auctions, inventory tools, and digital retailing platforms is a plus * Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Preferred Background (Not Required) * Experience working in a Ford or Lincoln dealership * Exposure to inventory acquisition, appraisals, or budget-lot operations * Knowledge of Southwest Minnesota or regional used vehicle market trends Compensation & Benefits * Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives * Health, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) with company match * Paid time off and holidays * Employee pricing on vehicle purchases and service * Career growth opportunities within a well-established dealership Why Kruse Ford Lincoln?
