Full description of the position

We're looking for a Director of Sales for SmartScout. SmartScout is a software startup based out of Logan Utah. We're looking someone who can make an impact as both a leader of the sales department and can help take us to the next era. As a startup, we still have the entrepreneurial spirit, which means much of what we do isn't defined. We're looking for someone to help define success and able to step into a leadership role. This role has 5-7 direct reports. These skills are desired: B2B Software sales Software Pricing and Packaging ABM Marketing SmartScout is a respected software in the Amazon ecommerce world. Experience and exposure to ecommerce/Amazon is helpful, but not required. Key Responsibilities * Develop and execute the company's sales strategy to meet revenue targets * Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to consistently achieve performance goals * Build and optimize sales processes, pipelines, and forecasting * Establish and track KPIs, quotas, and performance metrics * Partner with Marketing on lead generation, messaging, and go-to-market efforts * Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to improve conversion and retention * Manage sales budgets, commissions, and territory planning * Participate in key deals, negotiations, and strategic accounts * Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership Qualifications * 4-6+ years of sales experience, with progressive leadership responsibility * 1-2+ years managing sales teams * Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals * Strong experience with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM systems * Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills * Ability to align sales execution with company strategy Preferred Experience * Experience scaling a sales team or sales function * Background in B2B, SaaS, or relevant industry (as applicable) * Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing and Product Skills & Competencies * Strategic and data-driven decision making * Strong negotiation and closing skills * Ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams * Comfortable presenting to executives and stakeholders * Adaptable in fast-paced environments Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Health savings account * Paid time off * Parental leave * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
