Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and ensuring an organized and inviting sales floor. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse clientele. Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store operations is preferred. The Sales Associate will play a vital role in promoting our products through upselling and merchandising efforts while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and POS proficiency. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs * Conduct product demos to highlight features and benefits * Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts * Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction * Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and stocking * Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as needed * Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly * Assist with cashiering duties including processing returns and exchanges * Support store operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization of the sales floor * Demonstrate effective communication skills when interacting with customers and team members Qualifications * Full Name * Age must be over 21 * Availability (days, hours, weekends, and ability to work closing shifts) * All Social Media Accounts (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc. -- include usernames) This role includes responsibilities as a Social Media / Content Manager , such as creating posts, promoting products, and engaging with customers online. * Work Experience (especially any experience in a smoke shop, vape shop, retail, cashiering, customer service, or social media/content creation) * Why You Want to Work at a Smoke Shop (a brief explanation of your interest in the industry, product knowledge, customer service goals, and/or interest in managing social media) * Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar environment is preferred * Strong communication skills and phone etiquette * Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and POS transactions * Ability to perform product demos and upselling techniques effectively * Supervising experience is a plus but not required * Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs * Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail operations is beneficial * Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Job Type: Part-time Pay: $14.50 - $18.00 per hour Shift availability: * Day Shift (Preferred) * Night Shift (Preferred) Ability to Commute: * Jacksonville, FL 32216 (Required) Work Location: In person
