About the Role Readyman is launching a residential HVAC service business in Central Oregon and is seeking a senior HVAC professional to serve as the Responsible Managing Individual (RMI), lead technician, and primary sales driver during the startup phase. This is a hands on leadership role. You will be the technical authority, the face of the company in the field, and the primary person diagnosing systems, presenting solutions, and closing work. As the company grows, this role will evolve into a senior leadership position. Core Responsibilities * Serve as the Responsible Managing Individual (RMI) for Readyman with the Oregon CCB * Hold and maintain required HVAC licensing and certifications * Perform residential HVAC service, diagnostics, and system replacements * Act as the primary sales professional for service driven replacements and major repairs * Accurately diagnose systems and present clear, ethical options to homeowners * Close service repairs, replacements, and maintenance memberships * Ensure all work meets Oregon code, CCB rules, and manufacturer standards * Establish service standards, pricing discipline, and quality expectations * Assist in training future technicians and sales staff as the team grows Licensing and Certification Requirements * Active Oregon HVAC license appropriate for residential service * EPA 608 Universal certification * Eligible and willing to be listed as RMI with the Oregon CCB * Gas piping endorsement preferred but not required initially * Boiler license not required Experience and Skill Requirements * 4-5 plus years residential HVAC experience * Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills * Proven ability to explain technical issues clearly to homeowners * Comfortable recommending and selling repairs and system replacements * Experience closing replacement work is strongly preferred * Professional demeanor and strong communication skills * Leadership mindset with interest in building a long term operation Compensation and Incentives * Base pay range $45 to $60 per hour depending on experience and licensing * 10% Commission or bonus structure on closed replacement and major repair work * Performance incentives tied to revenue, quality, and customer satisfaction * Opportunity for increased compensation as additional techs are added * Company vehicle or vehicle allowance once ramped * Paid time off and paid holidays Growth Path * Initial role combines RMI, lead technician, and lead sales responsibilities * As the company scales, this role transitions into Senior Technician, Sales Lead, or Operations Manager depending on strengths * Long term opportunity for expanded leadership and compensation Why This Role Is Different * Foundational role in a new HVAC business * Direct influence over how systems, pricing, and culture are built * Focus on quality service and ethical sales, not pressure tactics * No boiler work required at launch * Backed by an experienced service business owner Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour Benefits: * Company truck * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Health insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Referral program * Retirement plan * Vision insurance Application Question(s): * Are you comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and computers?
