Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selections, and maintaining a well- organized sales floor. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating product features, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Bilingual skills and previous retail experience are a plus, but not required. The Retail Sales Associate plays a vital role in driving sales through effective communication, upselling, and merchandising. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs * Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties * Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits * Upsell products and suggest complementary items to increase sales * Maintain merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking activities * Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment * Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly * Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting at all times * Follow phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via online communication * Supervise or assist with training new team members when necessary Skills * Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures * Strong customer service and communication skills * Ability to perform retail math for transactions and inventory management * Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos * Upselling techniques to enhance sales performance * Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales calculations * Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer needs effectively * Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team * Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is advantageous * Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour Work Location: In person
