This role focuses on maximizing uptime of customer equipment, increasing customer loyalty, and ensuring the dealership captures all available aftermarket business. The PSSR operates as the primary field- facing representative for all parts, service, maintenance programs, and value- added solutions. The PSSR is the backbone of aftermarket revenue and customer retention. By being proactive in the field, identifying repair and maintenance opportunities, and ensuring customers have what they need to keep machines running, the PSSR directly impacts overall dealership profitability, customer satisfaction, and recurring revenue. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain strong relationships with equipment owners, fleet managers, rental houses, landscapers, municipalities, and contractors. - Conduct regular customer visits to understand machine population, application, wear patterns, and support needs. - Serve as the primary contact for all product support inquiries in assigned territory. - Promote and sell OEM parts, ground-engaging tools, fluids, filters, and preventative maintenance kits. - Quote and sell shop and field service work, including diagnostics, repairs, and planned maintenance. - Drive adoption of dealership service programs (PM contracts, telematics monitoring, rebuilds, component exchange). - Identify opportunities for Bobcat attachments sales and machine upgrades tied to jobsite needs. - Maintain an accurate machine population database (all makes/all models). - Track customer equipment hours, lifecycle stage, maintenance schedules, and recommended interventions. - Provide weekly activity reports, lost-sales feedback, and competitive intelligence. - Monitor territory trends: machine utilization, wear rates, consumable demand, fleet age, and customer project pipelines. - Work closely with Parts Department to ensure product availability and forecast needs. - Collaborate with Service Manager and Service Coordinators to schedule repairs, PMs, and field calls. - Communicate customer expectations clearly so jobs are quoted accurately and completed on time. - Participate in product support meetings focused on growth, margin improvement, and customer retention. Skills & Qualifications - Experience in heavy equipment, construction equipment, agriculture equipment, or industrial machinery. - Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, undercarriage, attachments, and equipment applications. - Ability to read service quotes, parts manuals, work orders, and technical documentation. - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. - Self-starter with strong time management and territory planning discipline. - Valid driver's license. - Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and dealership ERP systems (CDK, HBS, TBS, or similar). Work Environment - Primarily field-based with daily travel to customer locations. - Occasional in-branch work for meetings, quoting, and administrative tasks. - Exposure to jobsite conditions, construction environments, and outdoor weather.
