Department: Development Reports To: Vice President of Development ELSA Status: Exempt Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 (exempt) * SUMMARY:* Overall responsibility forfocusing attention on cultivating and securing corporate gifts to build asustainable source of funding for the Zoo and for generating and managingcorporate giving/membership/sponsorships by performing the following duties: CORE EXPECTATIONS: Demonstratesa commitment to the Zoo's mission statement and its values. * Performsduties in a service-oriented manner. * Recognizesthe needs of others and treats others with respect and dignity. * Maintainsgood work habits and adheres to all policies and procedures. * Demonstratesa commitment to maintaining a work environment free from discrimination andsexual harassment and supports the Zoo's commitment to equal employmentopportunities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1.Develops and implements the corporate membership efforts. Insures a vitalcorporate relations program, which encompasses strategic planning, research andcultivation, proposal development, solicitation and stewardship of corporatemembers. 2. Creates detailed program plans for corporatemembership. 3. Develops a business plan for corporatemembership to better communicate the Zoo's vision and forecast growth tobusiness community. 4. Develops strategies for corporate participation,devises best approaches to corporation memberships. 5. Acts as advocate for corporate members inensuring all appropriate recognition in advertising, signage, posters, print,electronic media and publications. 6. Works with rental events staff to maximizecorporate participation and secure corporate partners. 7. Develop and execute a comprehensive corporatesponsorship sales strategy to meet or exceed annual revenue goals. 8. Create compelling sponsorship proposals and presentationstailored to each prospective partner. 9. Manage the full sponsorship sales cycle fromprospecting and proposal development to contract negotiation and closing. 10. 1Maintain ongoing communication and stewardship with sponsors to ensuresatisfaction, retention, and potential upselling opportunities. 12. Trackand report sponsorship performance, ROI, and renewal rates; maintain accuraterecords in CRM system. 13. Representthe zoo at networking events, industry conferences, and community meetings tobuild new relationships and promote partnership opportunities. 14. Monitormarket trends and competitive landscape to identify new partnership models andrevenue-generating opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS : Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalentpreferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum three - five years' work experience in corporate business relationshipmanagement, preferably in a zoo, museum, or environmental nonprofit. Excellentwritten and oral communications skills. Ability to be a team player. Proficientcomputer skills, with previous database experience (Raisers Edge preferred).
