Kalthia Group Hotels is seeking a driven, results-oriented Director of Sales to lead revenue growth for our SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Palm Desert, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands market strategy, and has a proven ability to increase occupancy, RevPAR, and market share. Marriott brand experience is preferred. Position Summary The Director of Sales will be responsible for building and executing strategic sales initiatives, developing new business, and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts. You will lead the hotel's overall sales strategy and performance, track sales goals, and ensure the property is positioned competitively in the market. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the hotel sales strategy to drive occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market share growth. * Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales plans and performance goals. * Generate new business through proactive prospecting, account development, and relationship management. * Serve as the primary sales contact for key clients and act as a customer advocate. * Maintain and expand local corporate, leisure, group, and SMERF business segments. * Review and analyze the STAR report , competitive set data, and market trends to guide pricing and sales strategies. * Monitor competitor strategies and identify opportunities to improve hotel performance. * Conduct sales calls, site tours, client presentations, and networking events. * Develop partnerships with local organizations and participate in community and regional events to strengthen brand exposure. * Negotiate contracts and maintain compliance with Marriott sales processes and brand standards. * Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for ownership and leadership. * Collaborate closely with Operations and Revenue teams to align sales efforts with property goals. * Ensure exceptional customer service before, during, and after events/programs to strengthen loyalty and repeat business. Preferred Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field (preferred). * Minimum 5 years of hotel sales experience , including leadership responsibilities. * Marriott brand experience strongly preferred (SpringHill Suites a plus). * Experience using Marriott systems such as MARSHA , FOSSE , and sales platforms/tools preferred. * Strong knowledge of hotel sales strategy, forecasting, market segmentation, and revenue fundamentals. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently. * Strong relationship-builder with a proven sales track record.
