Job Summary
: The Territory Manager is responsible for managing retail accounts, driving revenue growth, and supporting inventory and sell-through performance. This field-based role requires strong relationship management, sales strategy execution, and in-store brand support. Territory Managers act as the key point of contact for retail accounts, ensuring customer success and representing the brand with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Manage Retail Accounts:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned retail accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all sales and service needs.
- Monitor Sales Success:
- Analyze retail performance data to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve account performance.
- Inventory and Sell-Through Management:
- Monitor sell-through and stock levels to ensure timely replenishment.
- Recommend product mixes and reorder proposals based on velocity.
- Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth:
- Develop and execute account-level sales strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales ops, and logistics.
- Field Activity and In-Store Support:
- Conduct regular in-store visits, product trainings, and merchandising checks.
- Submit Drop-In Forms and Training Logs after each visit.
- AR Monitoring and Credit Management:
- Track account receivables to flag late payments or credit risk.
- Coordinate with finance to manage credit terms and collections. Drop-In Form Stop in - 2-4 stops per store, per 30 days Success Metrics - KPIs
- Monthly sales target: $65,000 (collected revenue)
- New accounts opened and activated
- Sell-through velocity and SKU placement
- On-time account visit completion
- Number of trainings and drop-ins submitted
- Account reorder cadence
- AR status and credit risk management
Qualifications
:
- 3+ years of account management experience
- 2+ years in the cannabis industry (retail or wholesale preferred)
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales tracking platforms
- Competence with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within assigned territory Skills & Competencies:
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales data
- Organized, self-motivated, and proactive in problem-solving
- Comfortable with in-store training and product education
- Ability to work independently while aligning with company objectives Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
