DENVER RATIO Design is looking for a Business Development Leader to join our studios in Raleigh, NC and Denver, CO. This person will be responsible for business development activities and new commissions that support RATIOs overall strategic plan in their specific market sector or geographic area and supporting the implementation and administration of the firms overall marketing and business plan. The Business Development Leader will also be responsible for developing the firms perception and management via involvement in community groups and activities in area of responsibility. Working closely with Firmwide Practice Area Leaders, the Studio Leader, the Director of Business Development, and Director of Marketing, this person will ensure that the quality of marketing submissions and interviews produced within their studio meet the firms design and project delivery goals. Responsibilities Coordinate business development efforts with marketing activities of principals, discipline leaders, project managers and other staff members. Organizes plans, schedules, and manages sales efforts for area of responsibility. Gathers information on potential markets, clients, and projects. Assists in the development and execution of marketing and business plans that support the firms overall strategic plan. Seeks out opportunities and actively engage potential, existing, and past clients to uncover project opportunities. Develop long-term client relationships and maintain strong business networks. Reports on planned and executed sales activities to appropriate members of firm leadership team and engages the Director of Marketing and Business Development on activity. Participate in the weekly Business development meeting. Participate in quarterly Practice Area meetings. Participates in Studio meetings as they occur. Reports to Director of Business Development & Marketing. Qualifications Associate level or above in firm. Broad understanding of the area in which position is marketing and representing the firm, Experience in the A/E/C industry is a plus but not required. Knowledge of marketing techniques and supporting skills, including verbal and written communications, public and client relations. Working knowledge of geographic area or related fields that this position represents. Provides strategic overview of existing and anticipated market conditions. Is willing and able to support overall firm initiatives at the studio level. Promote a culture of collaboration and inclusion as a part of the overall firm EDI initiative.
