Director of Sales Location: Palmyra, Pennsylvania (with travel as needed) Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Seltzer's is a 123-year-old, heritage-driven food company with a strong regional presence and an exciting future focused on innovation and growth. We are currently seeking a Director of Sales to raise brand awareness, expand our market reach, and drive profitable growth across grocery and food service channels. In this senior leadership role, you will report directly to the COO and lead a growing sales organization currently comprised of three sales representatives, as well as an established broker network. The Director of Sales will play a critical role in shaping sales strategy, mentoring the team, and positioning the brand for long-term regional and national expansion Director of Sales Key Responsibilities * Develop and execute a high-level sales strategy that leverages Seltzer's 123-year reputation while introducing the brand to a new generation of consumers * Drive category leadership across Deli, Meat, Grocery, Snacks, and Food Service within the local market to build compelling sales data for national retail expansion * Lead and support the development of a national growth strategy across retail grocers, convenience stores, and institutional channels * Oversee and mentor the Grocery Sales team, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, direction, and priorities * Manage and optimize the broker network to support sales objectives * Leverage data and analytics to guide decision-making and sales direction * Analyze brand positioning, consumer insights, and market opportunities * Identify, establish, and expand sales partnerships and distribution channels within and beyond the core market * Serve as a primary brand ambassador with key retailers and distributors, building strong, long-term relationships * Develop sales budgets, forecasts, and margin expectations while motivating the team to achieve results * Measure, analyze, and report on sales performance, KPIs, and ROI * Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to inform strategy QualificationsExperience * Executive-level experience successfully building and growing a brand in retail and food service channels * Proven ability to develop sales strategies and present clear, actionable recommendations to executive leadership * Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, paired with creativity and strategic thinking * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Up-to-date knowledge of market trends and best practices, with a fresh and modern approach to sales leadership * Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams with strength and compassion * Strong strategic planning skills, including contribution to product innovation and long-term business direction * Ability and willingness to travel as needed Why Join Seltzer's This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a respected, legacy brand that is actively investing in its future.
