Business Development Manager
Overview
CertaPro Painters seeks a disciplined, self-motivated, relationship focused individual to join our team and work to expand our commercial painting division. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in social settings. Someone who can identify opportunity and generate new relationships, while maintaining current partnerships and ensuring client satisfaction; someone who can drive revenue in the construction, property management, and commercial services sectors. Simply said, you will be the face of our brand-- positioning our company as the preferred painting contractor for commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial painting projects across targeted industries (property and facility management, retail, healthcare, education, industrial, etc.).
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through networking, cold outreach, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
- Track and report sales activity, forecasts, and market trends. Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and repeat business.
- Develop long-term relationships with facility managers, property owners, general contractors, and other decisionmakers. Track client interaction cadence details.
- Follow up on completed projects to ensure satisfaction and identify future opportunities. Market Strategy & Growth:
- Analyze market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic planning.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop sales strategies, pricing models, and marketing initiatives.
- Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry associations.
- Organize and host various client networking events.
Qualifications
:
- Proven experience in business development or sales within commercial painting, construction, or related trades. Experienced Property Managers and Project.
- Managers will also be considered.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build trust quickly and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Goal oriented, organized and comfortable working independently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel. Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of the commercial construction process, bidding cycles, and project management basics is preferred.
- Existing network within commercial real estate, construction, or facilities management is a plus.
- Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management is preferred. What We Offer:
