Job Description Position Summary The Commercial Account Sales Executive is responsible for driving new business growth and managing key client relationships within the commercial electronic security market. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, delivering comprehensive security solutions, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences from prospecting through installation handoff. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to execute STG's defined go- to-market processes. Key Responsibilities 1. New Business Development * Proactively prospect and qualify commercial clients. * Identify customer needs and match STG's solutions--including intrusion, access control, video surveillance, monitoring, Network Data Cabling, GPS, Business Phones, and integrated systems. * Conduct site surveys, gather requirements, and develop solution strategies tailored to each client. * Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets. 2. Proposal Creation & Presentation * Utilize STG's approved proposal processes. * Develop clear, accurate, and competitive proposals and scopes of work. * Present solutions to decision-makers such as owners, facility managers, IT directors, and procurement teams. * Work with Engineering and Sales Support to ensure solution accuracy and profitability. 3. Customer Relationship Management * Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial clients throughout the sales cycle. * Maintain proactive communication to build long-term partnerships and support post-installation upsells. * Manage CRM tasks, follow-ups, forecasting, and documentation according to STG standards. 4. Deal Closure & Handoff to Operations * Secure signed proposals and client commitments in alignment with company pricing and margin requirements. * Coordinate with Quality Control for document review, payment collection, and job creation. * Transition projects to Installation Operations following guidelines. * Participate in kickoff calls as required to ensure successful project execution. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Work closely with Sales Support, Engineering, Accounting, and the Operations Team to ensure seamless project flow. * Communicate customer expectations, technical requirements, and scheduling needs. * Provide feedback on market trends, pricing changes, and competitive intelligence. * Contribute to ongoing improvements in sales processes and CRM adoption. Required Skills & Qualifications * 3-5+ years of experience in commercial security sales, low-voltage systems, or related B2B technical sales. * Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. * Strong knowledge of electronic security solutions (video, access control, intrusion). * Ability to read building layouts, blueprints, or perform basic system design. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Proficiency with CRM platforms; experience with WeSuite is a plus. * High level of organization, urgency, and follow-through. Preferred Qualifications * Experience selling to verticals such as industrial, multi family, education, healthcare, property management, or government. * Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, or OSHA-related standards. * Existing network within commercial or low-voltage industries. Work Environment & Expectations * Full-time, Monday-Friday with occasional evenings/weekends. * Local travel to client sites, networking events, and industry functions. * Participation in STG meetings, training, and development.
