Distribution Sales Manager - Water Systems & Channel Strategy
Compensation
Package: Up to $175,000 Location: North America (In Office / Travel up to 50%)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Distribution Sales Manager to lead and execute distributor strategy for a portfolio of water-related products and systems. This role is focused on channel development, distributor performance, and go-to-market execution across North America. This position is ideal for candidates who have managed distribution strategy for water treatment systems, pumps, filtration, or related mechanical/industrial water products, not just general B2B sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute distributor and channel strategy across North America.
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize distributor networks serving water treatment, pumping systems, filtration, plumbing, wastewater, irrigation, and related markets.
- Manage manufacturer's reps, agents, and distribution partners to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
- Build territory plans, sales forecasts, and distributor performance metrics.
- Collaborate with product management and marketing on pricing, positioning, and channel programs.
- Lead distributor training, joint sales calls, and channel development initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and distributor events. Required Experience
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience managing distributor or channel-based sales models.
- Direct experience selling water-related products or systems (e.g., water treatment equipment, pumps, filtration systems, wastewater solutions, plumbing or irrigation systems).
- Proven success working with rep firms, distributors, and multi-tier distribution networks.
- Strong understanding of channel economics, margin management, and distributor enablement.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ability to travel up to 50% across North America.
