Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products that meet their needs, ensuring a positive shopping experience. * Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, helping customers make informed purchasing decisions. * Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions clearly and courteously in both English and the second language. * Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance. * Upsell relevant products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue. * Maintain attractive merchandising displays by organizing stock, restocking shelves, and ensuring the store looks inviting and organized at all times. * Stock shelves efficiently, process shipments, and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability. * Handle cashiering duties with attention to detail, including balancing registers at shift end and managing returns or exchanges professionally. * Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. * Assist with grocery store-related tasks such as stocking perishable items or managing grocery-specific product displays when applicable. * Support team members with supervising experience by collaborating effectively to meet sales goals and uphold store standards. Skills * Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is essential for effective communication with diverse customers. * Strong retail sales skills with a focus on upselling and customer engagement. * Experience with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering procedures, and retail math calculations. * Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing product displays. * Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management. * Excellent phone etiquette coupled with clear communication skills to assist customers over the phone or in person. * Previous supervising experience is a plus for supporting team leadership activities. * Familiarity with grocery store operations or retail environments enhances adaptability in various settings.
