Sales Manager - Hybrid | Lincolnshire, IL Salary: $113,000 -$137,000 (DOE) Kubota Engine America (KEA) is a global leader in industrial engine distribution, known for innovation, reliability, and exceptional customer support. We're seeking an experienced Sales Manager to accelerate customer growth and new market expansion through strategic data-driven sales leadership. This fulltime role is based in Lincolnshire, IL (north of Chicago) and transitions to a hybrid schedule after 30 days. About the Role The Sales Manager drives growth by expanding market presence, strengthening distributor and OEM relationships, and identifying new business opportunities for Kubota engines. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, distributors, and internal teams, ensuring alignment with market trends and corporate objectives. Key Responsibilities * Market & Competitive Analysis: Research industry trends, emerging markets, and competitor activity to support strategic planning and business development. * Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify, evaluate, and develop new OEM and distributor opportunities. * Strategic Sales Planning: Partner with the New Business Development team to create sales strategies, presentations, and proposals for prospective OEMs. * Project Conversion: Advance qualified leads into active projects and coordinate smooth handoff to sales and engineering teams. * Customer & Distributor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and distributors, conduct regular visits, and support sales programs, promotions, and technical discussions. * CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, and sales teams to execute new business initiatives. * Continuous Improvement: Recommend innovative ideas to enhance sales strategies and overall market performance. * Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates on market activity, competitive insights, and sales performance. Qualifications * Strong OEM/distributor relationshipbuilding skills * Proven negotiation, closing, and presentation abilities * Technical understanding of engine applications and specifications * Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP * Ability to travel weekly, including occasional international travel Education & Experience * 10+ years of industrial engine or related wholesale sales experience * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Work Environment & Physical Requirements * Officebased role with regular visits to engine labs, warehouses, and customer sites * Exposure to noise, fumes, and mechanical equipment during site visits * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel by car and air Job Type: Full-time Pay: $113,000.00 - $137,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: Hybrid remote in Lincolnshire, IL 60069
