Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Carrier Sales Representative to join our logistics team! In this role, you will be the key driver in building and maintaining strong relationships with transportation carriers, negotiating freight contracts, and ensuring seamless transportation management. Your energy and proactive approach will help optimize supply chain operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of our logistics solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about transportation sales, logistics, and supply chain management to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities * Develop and nurture relationships with carriers, including 3PL providers and NVOCCs, to secure reliable transportation capacity. * Manage carrier onboarding, data entry, and ongoing account management using CRM software and transportation management systems (TMS). * Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service terms to optimize pricing strategies while maintaining strong customer relationships. * Coordinate transportation planning and dispatching activities to ensure timely pickups and deliveries aligned with customer needs. * Generate leads through proactive outreach, cold calling, and leveraging data for lead generation initiatives. * Monitor shipment statuses to ensure smooth freight movement. * Collaborate with internal teams on logistics sales strategies, contract negotiations, and compliance with FDA regulations where applicable. Skills * Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and transportation management systems (TMS). * Proven experience in transportation sales, carrier sales, or logistics sales within a B2B environment. * Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to craft mutually beneficial contracts. * Familiarity with freight forwarding, dispatching, and transportation planning processes. * Proficiency in CRM software, and data entry accuracy. * Ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently while providing exceptional customer relationship management (CRM). * Knowledge of 3PL operations, logistics compliance standards.
