POSITION : SALES AND MARKETING SPECIALIST STATUS : PART-TIME (15-20 HOURS/WEEK DURING BUSINESS HOURS MON. - FRI.; 9 A.M - 4 P.M.) FLSA CLASSIFICATION : NON-EXEMPT, ELIGIBLE FOR OVERTIME OVERVIEW: A very busy print, promotion, apparel and marketing company in Caldwell, Idaho is hiring a part-time Sales and Marketing Specialist to join our high performing team. This is NOT a seasonal job. This is a long-term, ongoing part-time position. JOB SUMMARY: The Sales and Marketing Specialist will have responsibilities for interacting with clients, generating new business, and increasing general awareness of our products and services that create value for all businesses. This individual will work as a key member of a small team that is focused on quality, customer service and teamwork. As such, this individual's attitude and contributions will have a great impact on the company culture and public perception. This is a part-time position that will work 15-20 hours per week. Work hours are during normal business hours and schedule can be flexible depending on individual and business needs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently: * Oversee the XPress Ads program, including sales, customer follow up, and project management. * Strategically identify and engage with prospective customers and educate them on our products and services that will help them promote and grow their business. * Interact professionally with clients, co-workers, suppliers, vendors, and the public at all times. * Generate and provide quotes for products and services to prospective and existing customers. Follow up to ensure quotes have been received and answer customer questions. * Foster positive relationships within the business community and enhance general awareness of our business, products and services. * Recommend and/or actively support other initiatives to grow the business. * Collaborate with co-workers to ensure products and services meet or exceed customer needs. * Ensure timely completion of work assignments and customer quotes. * Follows procedures and makes recommendations for improvements to safety, cost, quality, delivery, and team morale. * Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES: * High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. * Must be fluent in English. Spanish speaking skills are a plus. * 2+ years of sales or customer service experience is preferred. * Must enjoy face to face, direct marketing and sales. Experience in outside sales and direct marketing is strongly preferred. * Knowledge of printing, apparel, promotional products, and car wrapping products is highly desired and can be taught. * Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with business leaders, employees, customers, vendors, and the general public. * Must demonstrate the ability work independently with minimal supervision. * Must be able to thrive in an environment that is very dynamic and demonstrate resourcefulness and the ability to assess complex situations and recommend practical, sustainable solutions. * Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service. * Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance. * Must have a strong working knowledge of, or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite programs, email systems and other business software systems. * Must exhibit a professional and positive image. * Must be willing to provide support generating quotes, assisting with production, and perform other tasks as needed. * Must have reliable transportation.
