Director of Business Development - Construction About Kapella Group Kapella Group is growing -- and we're looking for a dynamic Director of Business Development to help us expand our footprint across the construction industry. This is an opportunity to shape strategy, build lasting partnerships, and drive major growth in multifamily, senior living, and hospitality renovation projects valued at $8 -10M+. What You 'll Do * Design and lead comprehensive business development strategies that position Kapella Group as a preferred partner in the construction market. * Identify and secure new opportunities across multifamily, senior living, and hospitality renovation sectors, including tenant improvements and large-scale capital projects. * Build and nurture relationships with owners, developers, architects, and other key stakeholders. * Manage the entire pursuit process -- from lead generation and relationship management to proposal development, negotiation, and closing. * Collaborate with executive leadership to define growth targets and revenue objectives. * Track and report progress using key performance metrics such as pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue projections. * Research market trends, monitor competitors, and uncover new areas for expansion. * Partner closely with project management and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience. * Leverage CRM platforms (HubSpot or similar) to track activity, forecast opportunities, and optimize outreach strategies. What You Bring * Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field. * 5-7+ years of experience leading business development in construction -- ideally within commercial, multifamily, or renovation environments. * Proven record of winning and managing multimillion-dollar projects ($8-10M+). * In-depth understanding of renovation and tenant improvement (TI) workflows. * Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities. * Proficiency with HubSpot or similar CRM software. * A strategic thinker with the ability to turn insight into action -- and deliver measurable results.
