Full description of the position

The Inside Sales / Applications Engineer serves as both a pre-sales and post- order resource, supporting internal and external customers with technical and commercial solutions related to remote automation systems. This role focuses on products including Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM), Telemetry, Digital Transformation tools, and SCADA applications for the oil & gas and process industries. Key Responsibilities: * Serve as a technical resource for remote automation solutions, assisting customers with product selection, system applications, and quoting. * Communicate with customers via phone, email, and in-person to provide product information, submit quotations, follow up, and process orders. * Collaborate with account managers, internal teams, and manufacturers to develop quotes, resolve technical challenges, and manage customer expectations. * Provide limited technical support during product startup and maintenance phases. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Distribution; or 5-10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. * Technical sales or applications experience with engineered products in the industrial process control or oil & gas sectors. * Strong customer service focus with solid business judgment and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail. * Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP or similar ERP experience preferred. Additional Requirements: * Ability to understand complex technical concepts and provide logical solutions. * Light travel may be required (<10%). * Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
