Title: Route Sales Representative (DSD) We're Growing! - And Hiring an experienced Route Sales Representative to join us on our journey! As a Route Sales Representative, you'll deliver, merchandise, and sell America's most loved snack products. Little Debbie is known in every household, and we want you to promote and distribute our beloved brand so families can enjoy our products for generations to come. The ideal candidate is responsible for sales growth in their assigned territories. They will develop new business and build relationships with store managers to gain display space to maximize sales opportunities. A Route Sales Representative is responsible for executing high quality service to a variety of customers, including grocery chains and convenience stores. They will manage inventory, meet sales goals, and maintain proper rotation to minimize credits. Duties and Responsibilities: * Ensure shelf integrity by maintaining appropriate level of product to minimize out of stocks * Rotate product to reduce out of date credits * Build displays and maintain the display with proper inventory levels * Write weekly orders and perform inventory management * Deliver and merchandise a full portfolio of Sunbelt Bakery and Little Debbie products * Maintain and organize warehouse and box truck (ex: Interior & exterior upkeep and adhere to warehouse inspection requirements) * Perform other job-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: * Ability to secure and maintain a valid driver's license and auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws * Previous route delivery, direct store delivery (DSD), stocking, merchandising, retail management and/or customer service experience required *Requirements * Must have the ability to repetitively lift, pull and push 50+ pounds, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend and reach * Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance * Work environment can be loud; employee is exposed to the outside weather conditions during deliveries * Must have confidence driving in all road and weather conditions. This position is 40 hours per week. Must be able to adhere to a scheduled start time based on business needs to ensure door times are met. Some weekends and holidays are required if businesses are accepting deliveries. Comp time is offered in certain circumstances. Vacation is available to full time associates and is accrued at a rate of 5 days per year for the first 1 year, with increases after years of service requirements have been met.
