Professional Woodworking experience preferred. Leitz is the most progressive cutting tool company in the woodworking, plastics, and advanced material industries. We are seeking an energetic and technical-minded salesperson to add to our team. Learn how Leitz high-quality, advanced tooling solutions continue to advance woodworking and related industries. Interact with a diverse range of manufacturers, from a consultative sales standpoint, providing them with solutions that will continuously improve their process efficiency. Region and location: We are looking for a competent Technical Sales Representative for our NYC Region. This position would utilize our new service facility located in Allentown, PA. Ideal locations for this position would be Plainfield, NJ or North Plainfield, NJ This position would be responsible to cover NE Pennsylvania, Northern New Jeresey, NYC/Long Island, and Connecticut areas. Compensation: Starting at $75000.00, base salary plus monthly territory commission. Starting salary is negotiable based on experience and knowledge of the woodworking tooling and industry. Duties include maintaining and building customer relations within territory, boosting current customer sales, full customer engagement to meet customer satisfaction and standards, and supporting other team members throughout the sales process. Essential Functions: * Learn, understand, consultatively promote, and sell the entire range of Leitz products and services. * Directly interface with current and prospective clients to gain understanding of current production processes, and where/how Leitz products may enhance processes. * Generate agreed level of product and service sales within defined region. * Continuously prospect potential customers and develop new business. * Manage customer base efficiently regarding direct interface and revenue potential. * Prepare quotations for new and custom tooling. * Facilitate technical assistance for client projects which exceed your comfort zone. * Provide order and application details as requested by technical specialists. * Serve as company liaison with customers on all sales, accounting, shipping and other administrative matters. * Follow-up on sales orders to ensure timely delivery, acceptable performance and customer satisfaction. * Promote special products, promotions, and programs to target customers when available. * Stay abreast of market conditions and advise company officials of new and emerging customer needs. * Direct/supervise sales/service representative assigned to sales territory, for maximum customer interface and productivity. * Serve as back-up to sales/service representative in his/her absence. * Maintain daily contact with key customers, service representatives under your supervision, and customer service.
