If you want your work to matter immediately and reach millions of shoppers, this is the place for you. The Role This is a foundational, high-autonomy role at the center of our go-to-market engine. You'll own outbound demand generation, building pipelines and opening doors with Shopify brands ready to level up their growth. You won't be waiting for scripts or step-by-step playbooks. Instead, you'll help build the GTM function from the ground up: testing cold outreach strategies, refining automation systems, and creating repeatable processes that scale. What You'll Do Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation * Own cold email outreach and multi-channel prospecting to generate qualified opportunities for the sales team * Build and optimize automation systems (sequences, triggers, follow-ups) that scale outbound efforts * Research and identify high-fit Shopify brands, understanding their tech stack and growth challenges * Test messaging, subject lines, and cadences to continuously improve response and conversion rates Customer Engagement & Qualification * Initiate conversations that uncover prospect pain points and align them with Alia's value proposition * Qualify inbound and outbound leads, ensuring a smooth handoff to Account Executives * Communicate clearly how Alia drives opt-in rates, revenue, and zero-party data collection for Shopify brands GTM Development & Collaboration * Partner with Sales leadership to refine targeting, messaging, and process * Contribute to building the BDR playbook: what works, what doesn't, and what to try next * Share frontline insights with Marketing and Product to sharpen positioning and inform roadmap decisions What You Bring Must-Have Experience: * Experience as a BDR (or similar outbound role), ideally at a SaaS or eCommerce-focused company * Hands-on experience with cold email, sequencing tools, and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach) * Strong written communication: you can write emails that get opened, read, and replied to * Self-directed mindset: you don't need constant direction on "how to do X, Y, Z" * Comfort with ambiguity and speed in an early-stage environment Bonus Points For: * Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem and DTC brand landscape * Experience helping build or scale a GTM function from scratch * Understanding of eCommerce metrics (AOV, conversion rate, LTV) and how they connect to Alia's value prop * Prior exposure to marketing tech (ESPs, SMS platforms, popup tools) Why You'll Love This Role * Own the Outbound Engine: Build pipeline and shape the GTM motion at a high-growth, product-led company * Build Something New: Help create the playbook for how Alia's sales org scales * Have Real Impact: Your conversations directly influence revenue and company trajectory * Thrive in Autonomy: We trust you to run your own experiments and own your results * Work with Great Brands: Prospect into some of the fastest-growing DTC brands on Shopify Compensation & Perks * Compensation: $100K - $120K OTE * Flexible, remote-first environment (NYC preferred but not required) * Opportunity for significant career growth as the sales function scales Ready to Help Shopify's Best Brands Grow Faster?
