Outside Sales - East Iowa (Cedar Rapids / Davenport) We have an immediate need for an Outside Sales Representative. In this position, you will work to grow our customer base in an assigned multi-state territory to increase sales of Overhead and Jib Cranes, Runway Systems, Modernizations, and Hoists. Earn: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 your first year with potential for more income with experience. This growth position will contribute to our success, and you will work individually and as part of a team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:
- Drive sales growth in respectively assigned territory to meet the sales objectives for Overhead Crane, Jib Crane, Runway Systems, Hoist Sales, Inspections, Parts and Service working with customers, including General Contractors, Distributors, and end-users.
- Demonstrate the ability to gather information and submit detailed proposals that provide sales, technical, product, and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
- Use the configuration software, estimate forms, and price books to prepare quotations and proposals as needed either in the field or in the assigned office.
- Request pricing from subcontractors where necessary.
- Provide feedback on pricing and solutions to management.
- Continually appraise company products as opposed to competitor's lines relative to design, pricing, & marketability.
- Perform independent, and joint sales calls to customers to determine crane applications and installations. This includes analysis of application, field verifications of measurements, and other field installation requirements.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with customer's personnel, including management, engineering, and purchasing agents.
- Supplement the distributor's efforts by doing market research to locate good potential prospects, who are using competitive products, and to interest them in our products. - Manage crane projects until completion. Outside Sales Representative
Qualifications
:
- Must have good communication skills and excellent customer service skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and handle multiple items at one time.
- Working knowledge of crane business preferred.
- Proficient at Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Must be able to learn and use in-house business systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports, proposals, and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, with virtual presentations and on the phone with customers.
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience including industrial product sales. Experience:
- Manufacturing Sales: 2 years (Preferred)
- Outside Sales: 3 years (Preferred)
- Crane Equipment or service sales: 1 year (Preferred) Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Required travel: Up to 35% with visits to customers and distributors on a regular basis.
