Sales Engineer - Automated Packaging Systems * Regional Sales Manager / District Sales / Technical Sales * Base Salary: $100,000 $150,000 * Package: Bonus, Car Allowance, 20 Days PTO, Medical, Eyecare, Dental, 401k * Location: Home-based - Houston Most sales roles talk about solutions and relationships but revolve around incremental orders and price negotiations. This one doesnt. Youll be selling custom built, fully automated bulk packaging systems with an average order value of $2 million. Every deal is engineered, bespoke, and operationally critical to your customers business. Your conversations wont be about discounts. Theyll be about throughput, uptime, safety, ROI, and future-proofing operations. The Business This is a 150 year old global manufacturer and a genuine thought leader in Form Fill Seal and automated packaging technology. They dont sell catalogue products. They design, engineer, build, install, and support tailored systems for some of the most demanding industrial environments in the world. No two deals are the same What Youll Be Doing Youll own the full commercial lifecycle for your territory: * Developing and executing a strategic sales plan across Houston * Managing and growing key accounts while identifying new project opportunities * Leading complex, consultative sales processes from first conversation to contract signature * Conducting site surveys and working closely with customers to define technical and operational requirements * Writing and presenting detailed commercial proposals and forecasts * Negotiating with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, procurement, and leadership teams * Working cross functionally with engineering, project delivery, and service teams to ensure flawless execution This is a field-based role with regular customer visits. Youll manage your own diary, priorities, and pipeline like a professional. What Were Looking For Youll bring: * Proven experience selling capital equipment or high-ticket, project led solutions * A track record of winning new business and developing key accounts * Experience selling into petrochemical, fertiliser, agriculture, animal feed, compounds, or salt sectors * A consultative, relationship-led sales approach * Strong commercial acumen and exceptional communication skills * Understanding of automated machinery, engineered systems, or industrial technology * A mechanical engineering or automation background (advantageous) This is a rare opportunity to help scale a global manufacturing powerhouse across North America, while working on technically complex, commercially significant projects that genuinely matter to customers.
