Weekend Market Sales Position - $30/hr+ -- Organic Vegan Dessert Company Location: Outer Sunset Farmers' Market Schedule: Sundays, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM Pay: $40/hour guaranteed or commission (whichever is higher) About Marinko 's Desserts We are a Berkeley-based company producing raw, organic, plant-based desserts , crafted with nutrient-activated nuts and high-quality whole ingredients. Our booth at Bay Area farmers markets is known for its intensity , constant crowds, and non-stop movement. We're searching for someone who can match that pace -- not someone looking for an easy Sunday shift. Role Overview You'll operate the Marinko's booth each Sunday, taking charge of sampling, engaging customers, and closing sales with consistency from start to finish. Primary Responsibilities * Consistently promote and sell our raw, organic vegan desserts * Offer samples with purpose and explain exactly what makes our cakes different * Maintain a strong, confident presence that keeps customers coming * Keep the booth clean, organized, and visually sharp * Handle both cash and card transactions with accuracy Who This Job Demands This position is high-output , physical, and requires someone who doesn't fold when the pressure hits. You're aligned with this job if you: * Are naturally outgoing and unafraid to initiate conversations * Have experience with sales, customer engagement, retail, events, or hospitality (useful but not required) * Can stay on your feet 5-6 hours in outdoor conditions * Keep a steady demeanor when the booth is packed and the pace is fast * Care about clean, organic ingredients and wellness-driven foods * Are consistent, punctual, and take pride in the quality of your work * And, above all, you are passionate about clean eating and educating yourself and our customers about healthy nutrition.
