We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer join our team in Oak Creek Wisconsin. United Process Controls (UPC) is a world leader in industrial process controls and automation in the heat treatment and combustion markets. UPC Develops and supplies process control instrumentation, sensors, and digital solutions critical to safe, accurate, and repeatable thermal processes. Qualifications/ Experience Required: Prefer 2-year technical degree Prefer bachelor's degree in mechanical or metallurgical engineering Prefer 2+ years of experience in metals heat treatment Minimum 5 years' technical sales experience Understanding and experience with PLC's and controls CRM & ERP experience preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong computer skills Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Effective communications skills and ability to work cohesively with sales, R&D and engineering Responsibilities: * Sell parts, service, and rebuild projects for existing heat treat equipment including estimating, quote creation, selling, and monitoring or performing execution. * Develop BOM's for new projects * Assist engineering and service with technical problems * Identify and establish new business * Organize sales visits and maintain relationships with customers * Prepare proposals and quotations * Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions * Review cost and sales performance * Provide product education and advice * Travel domestically and internationally as required to support new equipment sales activity * Interface with Sales Representatives and Partners as required * Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings * Estimate materials, labor and engineering hours for heat treat equipment * Estimate PLC & HMI control systems * Estimate equipment installation, field commissioning and training labor and expenses * Grow our commodity product sales * Prepare monthly sales reports * Process order entries into ERP system * Track estimated vs. actual cost for projects * Assistance with product and market development * Must be able to travel 25%-50% annually (Travel is mostly domestic. 80% is driving with some overnights) UPC offers a competitive salary and benefits which include 401k with matching, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance and profit sharing.
