Penco Corporation, a leading wholesale distributor of plumbing and HVAC supplies for over 70 years, is seeking a Plumbing Field Sales representative serving contractors in the New Castle County, Delaware and Cecil County, Maryland markets. The ideal candidate will possess the following: Job Description * Maximize sales within assigned territory and customer base * Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions * Recommend alternate products based on specifications and availability * Increase sales by cross-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales items as well as new products * Participate with manager in updating territory, sales opportunities and goals * Prepare and present sales presentations to new and existing customers * Aggressively seek additional sales by opening new accounts, following up on sales leads, and visiting construction sites in assigned territory * Analyze customer sales reports for trends and new business opportunities * Prepare, present, and follow up on quotes in a timely manner * Work with other departments to resolve customer issues * Identify trends in customer requirements and monitor customer satisfaction * Participate in company and vendor sponsored sales promotions * Determine cost effective customer call schedule based on customer needs, location, and frequency of visits * Determine most cost effective and appropriate delivery options Minimum Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years of Plumbing Sales experience * Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment * Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships * Strong sales aptitude with a positive and professional image * Must be flexible, organized and self-motivated with an attention to detail * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Ability to manage time effectively Plumbing knowledge base/technical skills: * Plumbing fixtures and components * Plumbing and gas piping systems * Water heaters - tankless and tank-type * Read and interpret blueprints and specifications * Strong technical background with the ability to troubleshoot customer problems Benefits: * Competitive Salary * Medical * Dental * Vision * Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Flex) * Seven Paid Holidays * 401(K) with employer matching * 100% Employer Paid Life Insurance Policy * Short Term Disability * and more!
