Responsibilities include driving lucrative sales by developing extensive knowledge of our products and capabilities to problems solve for our customers. You are expected to communicate the customer requirements and goals to the engineering and manufacturing team and guide them to attain the customer's goals within the customer's time frame. You should be driven to achieve sales goals and should have excellent sales and customer relationship building skills and be detailed oriented. Must have excellent leadership and team work skills, as well as technical and problem-solving skills. Sales Engineer Responsibilities * Preparing and developing technical quotation & presentations to explain our unique products and capabilities customers. * Understand customer requirements and assist in the development of customer drawing(s). * Generating high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries. * Researching, developing and modifying products to meet customers' technical requirements and needs. * Helping customers who have problems with purchased products and working with customers to create solutions. * Collaborate with marketing team to manage and schedule tasks for the Sales/Marketing Associate. i.e. sales data and follow up entered into CRM. * Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these opportunities as well as possible solutions to upper management. * Setting and achieving sales goals. * Communicating other members of the team on the technical aspects of the company's products and services. Areas of Specific Responsibility * Understand customer's goals and constraints so as to effectively communicate with the Atlas team to solve their problems with the breadth of company experience and capabilities. * Generate high margin sales by applying Atlas unique capabilities to solve specific customer problems. * Maintain customer communication through the sales, engineering and manufacturing process to ensure they are apprised on status of their project(s) (late, deviation, status, needs, etc.). * Quote standard and custom products and projects. * Cultivate healthy long term customer relationships. * Identify OEMs early in order to support and grow their business. * Up-sell by educating our customers about our capabilities to drive more sales. * Convey customer expectations to the engineering and manufacturing department. * Conversely convey manufacturing issues, design changes, delivery to customer. * Sales outreach for new markets and opportunities (Cold Call). * Participate in trade shows. * Visit customers to maintain relationships and address any concerns. * Generate sales forecasts with team based on current prospects, win rates, and sales history. * Present sale data and projections to leadership team * Manage sales pipeline status in CRM * Sales drafting in SolidWorks * General assistance (marketing, filling holes, being flexible and lending a hand...)
