Sales Manager - Sign Industry Location: Denver, CO Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $72,000-$77,000/year + benefits & 401(k) Position
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with sign industry experience to lead, coach, and manage our Account Executive team while actively selling and managing key accounts. This role is responsible for sales performance, team accountability, and ensuring alignment between sales commitments and production execution. The Sales Manager will work in close collaboration with the Production and Installation Manager and meet weekly with the CEO to review sales performance, forecasts, and key operating metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and coach the Account Executive team to meet and exceed sales targets
- Maintain an active personal sales pipeline and sell accounts directly
- Host daily sales stand-up meetings with the Account Executive team
- Lead weekly "Open Orders" meetings to review sold jobs, timelines, risks, and next steps
- Collaborate regularly with the Production / Installation Manager to align sales commitments with operational capacity
- Ensure complete, accurate, and production-ready job handoffs from sales to operations
- Maintain visibility into pipeline, backlog, close rates, and revenue forecasts
- Meet weekly with the CEO to provide sales updates, forecasts, and performance metrics
- Enforce sales process discipline, CRM usage, and documentation standards
- Identify sales bottlenecks and implement process improvements
- Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of Account Executives
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in the sign industry (required)
- Proven experience managing and coaching sales teams
- Strong understanding of sign manufacturing, permitting, production, and installation workflows
- Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with personal sales production
- Comfortable running structured meetings and holding teams accountable
- Strong financial and data orientation (pipeline, quotas, forecasting)
- Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or project-based sales environment
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
- Experience working directly with ownership or executive leadership
