The Manager of Insurance Planning is a senior, planning-centric role designed for professionals who want to apply deep annuity and insurance expertise within a collaborative wealth management team. What You 'll Do This role's primary purpose is to lead and expand annuity and insurance planning across the firm within a fee-only fiduciary wealth management framework. You will work directly with advisors and clients to drive adoption of insurance planning, help convert planning recommendations into implemented solutions, and elevate the firm's overall annuity and insurance capabilities. The role is highly visible, relationship-driven, and designed for someone comfortable being in front of advisors and clients to move planning decisions forward. You will be supported by dedicated administrative resources, allowing you to remain focused on what you do best: advancing annuity and insurance strategies and driving implementation of new planning solutions. * Annuity Strategy & Product Expertise - Serve as the firm's primary annuity subject-matter expert, with deep understanding of annuity structures, including living benefit riders, income guarantees, buffers, caps, participation rates, surrender schedules, and fees. * Firmwide Insurance Planning Leadership - Serve as the primary annuity and insurance planning leader for the firm, helping shape strategy, best practices, and consistent planning standards across offices and advisor teams. *Advisor & Branch Engagement - *Conduct in-person branch visits and virtual meetings with advisors to support annuity and insurance planning opportunities, review active cases, and help advance client conversations toward implementation. * Client-Facing Planning & implementation- Participate directly in client meetings to present annuity and insurance strategies, address concerns, and help guide clients toward informed decisions. This includes a consultative, persuasive role focused on clarity, confidence, and execution. * Insurance Policy Review & Case Development - Review existing annuity, life insurance and related policies, identify planning gaps or inefficiencies and help develop competitive, client-specific solutions aligned with broader financial plans * Carrier & Illustration Coordination - Oversee and support the coordination of in-force illustrations, policy modifications, and carrier interactions to ensure accurate analysis and timely execution of recommendations * Growth Enablement - Partner with Wealth Managers to help turn planning insights into implemented solutions, supporting firmwide growth in annuity and insurance planning in a compliant, client-first manner * Team Leadership & Development - Lead and mentor a small team of dedicated insurance planners, providing technical guidance, case oversight, and professional development * Ongoing Education & Market Awareness - Stay current on carrier offerings, product innovation, underwriting trends, and regulatory changes, and proactively share insights with advisor teams. Requirements: What You 'll Need to Succeed * Insurance & Annuity Experience: 4+ years of experience working with annuity or insurance products in a sales, service, support, wholesaler, or planning capacity, with demonstrated involvement in moving recommendations to implementation * Professional Aspirations: CFP designation is a plus, or demonstrated interest in applying for or actively pursuing the CFP marks * Financial Planning Mindset: Strong interest in comprehensive financial planning and wealth management, with the ability to position annuity and insurance solutions within broader client goals and recommendations * Implementation & Execution Focus: Proven ability to guide advisors and clients toward informed decisions, address objections, and help bring planning recommendations to completion in a thoughtful client-first manner * Career Development Motivation: Demonstrated desire to continue deepening technical knowledge & expand leadership responsibilities * Technical Comfort: Comfortable working across planning software, illustration tools, CRM systems, and insurance carrier platforms to support timely and accurate execution * Carrier & Product Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of insurance and annuity products, underwriting considerations, and carrier differences, with ongoing enthusiasm for staying current on product innovation and planning solutions Comprehensive Benefits We deeply value your leadership, talent, time, and commitment.
