Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about customer service, sales, and creating a positive shopping experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with customers, assisting with product selection, and maintaining the sales floor to ensure an inviting environment. Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store operations is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
• Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of merchandise
• Assist with merchandising efforts, including stocking shelves and organizing displays to attract shoppers
• Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
• Manage cash handling accurately during transactions, ensuring proper cash register procedures are followed
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom
• Use phone etiquette skills to answer inquiries and assist customers remotely when needed
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment
• Perform basic retail math for inventory management and sales tracking

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store operations preferred
• Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to perform POS transactions accurately and handle cash responsibly
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling, and retail math is advantageous
• Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
• Basic math skills necessary for daily operations including cash handling and inventory counts
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude and professional appearance
• Ability to work full-time hours with flexibility for shifts as scheduled Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
