Dual Director of Sales Fairfield Inn & TownePlace Suites Albuquerque Uptown Position Summary The Dual Director of Sales is responsible for driving top-line revenue, increasing market share, and leading all sales and marketing efforts for the Fairfield Inn and TownePlace Suites Albuquerque Uptown. This role oversees sales strategy, market analysis, and community engagement while leading property-level sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong hotel sales experience, proven success exceeding revenue goals, and the ability to build lasting relationships. Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Strategy * Oversee all sales operations, including reports, lead management, event calendars, and follow-through * Develop and implement sales strategies, marketing plans, and advertising campaigns * Analyze market trends, conduct competitive set research, and evaluate pricing strategies * Utilize tools such as STAR reports, production reports, and lost business reports to drive performance * Collaborate with Corporate Sales to establish realistic goals and timelines * Lead sales coaching and performance management at the property level Business Development & Community Engagement * Prospect and qualify new business opportunities * Conduct cold calls (in-person and digital) and maintain active pipelines * Attend networking and industry events and represent the hotels within the community * Build and manage relationships with local businesses, civic organizations, and charities * Coordinate with chambers of commerce, CVBs, and corporate lead sources * Identify niche markets and local marketing opportunities Group & Tour Sales * Manage group and tour bookings, including welcome and farewell events * Coordinate all tour-related guest relations efforts * Support group sales execution from contract negotiation through event completion Operations & Team Support * Maintain consistent communication with hotel leadership and operations teams * Participate in Daily Business Reviews * Serve as Manager-on-Duty when needed * Assist with hotel operations as necessary, including breakfast, laundry, or housekeeping * Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs Compliance, Safety & Training * Complete all brand-required training and learn brand-specific marketing tools * Follow company safety, security, OSHA, and local regulations * Properly manage lost-and-found items per hotel policy Sales Goals & Performance Measures * Achieve 101% or higher in ADR, Occupancy, and RevPAR using STR metrics * Demonstrate measurable market share growth within the competitive set * Deliver results that positively impact hotel performance while outperforming competitors Qualifications: Education & Experience * High school diploma or equivalent required * Previous hotel sales and supervisory experience required * Marriott systems experience preferred * Proven track record of exceeding sales benchmarks Skills & Competencies * Strong organizational and time management skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities * Ability to work independently with sound judgment and discretion * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Must have a valid, non-probationary driver's license and clean driving record Physical & Environmental Requirements * Ability to stand for extended periods (minimum of 2 hours) * Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and carry up to 10 lbs * Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and operate office equipment * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and frequent interruptions Job Type Full-Time Benefits * 401(k) with matching * Quarterly and annual sales bonuses (unlimited bonus potential) * Sales Incentive Plan * Health, dental, and vision insurance * Paid time off and sick leave * Holiday pay * Hotel employee discounts .
