Midwest Communications, Inc in Peoria, IL is seeking a proven Director of Sales to lead revenue growth across one of the most dominant audio and digital media portfolios in Illinois. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a strategic, people-first sales executive who thrives on building teams, growing accounts, and delivering results. As our Director of Sales, you will own the sales vision, strategy, and execution for the market. You will work closely with the VP-Market Manager and a collaborative leadership team in a high-energy, performance-driven culture. $55,000 - $60,000 annually + commission As our Director of Sales, you will * Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing sales organization that consistently exceeds revenue goals * Recruit, coach, and retain top-tier sales talent while building a strong bench for the future * Create and execute a clear, measurable sales strategy aligned with market opportunities and client needs * Drive accountability through goal-setting, regular team meetings, and weekly one-on-one coaching * Champion CRM adoption and data-driven selling to improve pipeline health and forecasting accuracy * Oversee key sales processes including account management, pricing, and order approval * Build and expand senior-level client relationships; participate in high-profile presentations and negotiations * Identify and create innovative, integrated marketing opportunities that generate new and incremental revenue * Own forecasting and planning on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis * Serve as a thought partner to leadership by contributing ideas that strengthen revenue, culture, and client success We are asking you to * Be a high-achieving sales leader with a track record of growing revenue and developing successful teams * Have strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold others accountable * Have excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills * Have a strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability * Have a valid Illinois Driver License and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Check We offer a great work environment along with a competitive wage and a comprehensive benefits package.
