Bowles Mattress Consumer Division (full-time, 40 hours & part-time, 16-24 hours, in our retail stores in Louisville, KY.) Join the Bowles team! Objective Effectively supports and maintains store sales and service goals as communicated by leadership. Organizational Relationships Reports to: Retail Advisor Supervises: No direct reports Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities a) Greets and engages customers in a courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient manner. b) Studies products and accessories to maintain subject matter expert (SME)-level knowledge for all Bowles' products and accessories. c) Suggests solutions or items to customers based on inquiries or needs. d) Builds lasting relationships with customers to encourage return sales. e) Meets or exceeds established store and organizational sales goals. f) Processes transactions and sales orders according to Bowles' policies and established standards. g) Learns and follows the Bowles sales training process and updates skills as necessary. h) Fields customer phone inquiries while providing phenomenal customer service. i) Completes customer interaction summary information for each guest. j) Schedules guest mattress deliveries based on store's availability and most efficient routing. k) Ensures the visual showroom standards are always met, including cleanliness and stock replenishments. l) Ensures floor inventory and POS materials are correct and timely changed. m) Fosters and maintains a positive, team-oriented, and friendly retail environment. n) Follows safety protocols. o) Participates in meetings or training courses as assigned. p) Other duties as assigned. Qualifications a) Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. b) Ability to confidently present in front of an individual or a group. c) High level of cognitive and problem-solving skills. d) Technologically proficient, including the ability to operate Microsoft office and Freedom software. e) Strong work ethic. f) Professional, energetic, respectful, and positive approach when working with the other Bowles Team Members and the public. g) Ability to work assigned store/shift hours. Mental and Physical Requirements * Ability to work in a store environment that may have long stretches without customer interactions. . Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time. * Ability to maintain considerable concentration with frequent time pressures and frequent interruptions. * Ability to maintain attention while communicating with others for considerable lengths of time. * May need to lift up to 50 pounds and/or carry product-related items. Working Environment and Conditions * This position involves working in a typical retail environment and includes public interaction. * Store location is an assigned Bowles Retail Store. * Due to travel, may be exposed to the weather elements. * Ability to work full-time, Monday through Sunday, and at least 40 hours per week with defined days off. For part-time roles, employee works assigned schedule. Both full and part-time roles may work evenings and weekends. Education, Experience and Training * Have 1-3 years' experience with mattresses, interiors, furniture or other retail sales and customer service preferred. * Solid written and verbal communication skills. * Good time management and organizational skills. * Knowledge of or ability to learn and retail mattress products, foundations, adjustable beds, and accessories products Equipment and Tools * Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel) software and Freedom software. * Ability to operate laptops, copiers, printers, postage machines and other standard office resources.
