Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, this is a full-time position, with the flexibility to be based at either our San Leandro or Livermore, California location and comes with a competitive compensation and benefits package. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship. Job Responsibilities: * Responsible for working with Company management and sales team to promote Trayer products and brand to electric power industry * Act as a technical resource for customers; competent in switchgear operation including SCADA and relay functionality * Assist Trayer sales staff as a technical expert on all things switchgear; works with Trayer engineering team to resolve customer questions and issues. * Support Sales Managers by communication with customers on products suitable for their specific applications. * Support sales managers to help open new accounts for sales actions: * Facilitates, defines, and documents the required modification of existing products to suit customer specific applications. * Be an active member of the Trayer R&D committee. Define development projects of new product designs to accommodate customer applications. * Review 'RFQ submissions' for technical and performance requirements. When required, provides technical response for quote documents * Submit reports as needed by manager such as forecasts, call reports, and expenses, and maintains the CRM records in a timely and thorough manner. * Manages CSI (customer service inquiry) function. * Work with customer and sales team to design and develop custom solutions that satisfies the customer's requirements while maintaining company profitability Job Requirements: * Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. * Successful track record working in electric power industry * 2-5 yrs + experience with electrical power systems products and applications--switchgear, vacuum fault interrupters and related devices including, over current protection relays, RTUs, and Smart Grid / SCADA communication protocols, transmission and distribution systems * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Requires some travel < 25%; * High drive and discipline to work alone as well as in a team. * Strong ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
