Full description of the position
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities * Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within target industries and national markets. * Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to build a strong pipeline of qualified prospects. * Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing national clients -- driving sales growth and account expansion. * Lead client presentations, proposal development, and contract negotiations. * Partner with internal teams to ensure estimates, proposals, and project execution align with client expectations. * Maintain ongoing communication with clients to uncover additional needs and upsell new services or regions. * Track and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure growth goals are met or exceeded. * Support the Director of National Accounts in developing nationwide growth strategies, renewals, and long-term partnerships. * Represent Delaware Valley Paving at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to increase visibility and lead generation. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field (preferred). * 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management -- ideally within construction, facilities management, or B2B service industries. * Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving revenue growth. * Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented with a "hunter" mentality. * Ability to manage multiple prospects and clients in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency with CRM systems, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. * Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
