Full description of the position

Outside Contractor Sales (Roofing & Bathrooms) Position: Outside Sales Representative - Roofing & Bathroom Remodeling Type: Full-Time | Outside Sales We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Outside Sales Representative to generate leads, meet with homeowners, assess their needs, and sell roofing and bathroom remodeling projects. This role is primarily field-based, requiring in-home consultations, property inspections, and relationship building with homeowners, insurance adjusters (for roofing), and industry partners. The ideal candidate is comfortable with door-to-door sales, warm leads, and appointment-based sales, has strong communication skills, and is driven by performance-based compensation. Key Responsibilities Lead Generation & Prospecting * Generate leads through: * Door-to-door canvassing * Company-provided leads * Referrals and networking * Follow-ups on marketing inquiries * Identify properties needing roof repairs/replacements or bathroom renovations. Customer Consultations & Inspections * Conduct in-home consultations to understand customer needs. * Perform roof inspections (training provided if needed). * Assess bathroom remodeling needs and present design/solution options. * Take photos, measurements, and detailed notes for estimates. Sales & Closing * Present project proposals, pricing, and financing options. * Overcome objections professionally and close deals. * Explain contracts, timelines, and scope of work clearly to customers. * Maintain accurate records in CRM (if applicable). Coordination & Follow-Up * Coordinate with project managers and installation teams. * Follow up with customers before, during, and after project completion. * Maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals. Required Skills & Qualifications * Previous sales experience preferred (construction, remodeling, real estate, or insurance sales is a plus). * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Self-motivated and comfortable working independently. * Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. * Ability to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends when needed). * Basic computer/CRM skills preferred. Preferred (But Not Required) * Experience in roofing, construction, or remodeling. * Experience with insurance claims (roofing). * Experience selling high-ticket home improvement projects.
