We are entering a phase of strategic growth and are seeking a commercially minded professional who combines the financial rigor of a sales analyst with the proactive, results-driven orientation of a business development professional. Position Summary The Senior Sales Analyst (Commercial Energy & Lead Generation) is a critical support role reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales. This position combines targeted lead generation with analytical and commercial support for the sales organization. The role's primary mandate is to research and develop new business opportunities for the company's exclusive renewable biofuel product, while also identifying opportunities for mechanical services, industrial boiler projects, and deregulated natural gas and electricity supply. The role requires the ability to research and build targeted prospect lists, navigate complex customer organizations to identify and validate appropriate financial, facilities, and energy decision-makers, and execute outbound outreach to initiate commercial conversations and generate qualified opportunities for the sales team. In parallel, the role supports the commercial organization through analytical work, including modeling customer energy usage, quantifying cost savings and emissions reductions, and providing clear, data-driven insight to support sales strategy and customer proposals. This is a senior individual contributor role that requires both commercial initiative and analytical rigor, and close collaboration with sales leadership. Qualifications * Industry Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the energy sector is required. Candidates must have working knowledge of at least one of these sectors: Deregulated natural gas and electric/power sales, Fuel oil Renewable fuels. * Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling) for analyzing usage data and calculating savings. * Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to initiate outbound outreach and engage business decision-makers in commercial conversations. Comfort with cold prospecting is required. * Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field preferred. * Professional Skills: Strong analytical capability, clear written and verbal communication, high organizational discipline, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced commercial environment.
