REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience * Sales/Marketing experience in the paving industry with a thorough understanding and knowledge of products, applications, and markets * Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills * Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and word processing programs * Excellent mechanical aptitude * Traveling and overnight stays required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Assist District Sales Representatives with paving product deals * Make joint calls with District Sales Representatives on paving contractors meetings * Directly sell and market paving products with the assistance of District Sales Representatives * Actively call on paving contractors including joint calls with DSRs when necessary * Log events and conduct training for sales teams * Attend all major paving association meetings and seminars * Maintain productive contact with Caterpillar Global Paving at both the district and factory level as well as with any Allied paving manufactures * Provide pertinent information to all technical communicators, field service technicians and shop technicians on machine systems and functions to ensure efficient service and timely repairs * Implement winter paving rebuild program * Make inventory recommendations, including evaluating used paving products for trade by inspecting and estimating cost of reconditions * Execute comprehensive customer relations, activities in sales, product utilization, application and crew training * Assist in evaluating used paving products for trades by inspecting machines and estimating cost of reconditions * Performs other duties as necessary and assigned
