_ SALES DIRECTOR - FOOD INDUSTRY _ ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our sales operations in the food industry across the Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana regions. This is a strategic leadership position for a results-driven professional who understands the complexities of food distribution and has established relationships within the nonprofit and wholesale food sectors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets across TX, OK, and LA territories * Build and maintain relationships with food banks, NGOs, and nonprofit organizations * Manage accounts with food wholesalers and distribution partners * Expand market presence with supermarket chains and regional retailers * Lead business development initiatives on Produce Row and within produce distribution channels * Oversee sales team performance and provide strategic direction * Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities * Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with key accounts * Collaborate with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure customer satisfaction * Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * 7+ years of sales experience in the food industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role * Proven track record selling to food banks and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) * Demonstrated experience working with food wholesalers * Strong familiarity with Produce Row operations and produce distribution networks * Established relationships with supermarket chains and retail buyers * Knowledge of Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana food distribution markets (required) * Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills * Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities * Ability to travel regularly throughout the territory (up to 50%) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field * Existing network of contacts within food banks, NGOs, and wholesale food sector * Experience with food safety regulations and compliance standards * Knowledge of USDA programs and emergency food assistance networks * CRM software proficiency (Salesforce or similar) * Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
