SmarAct Inc. is a small but rapidly growing US subsidiary of SmarAct GmbH, with headquarters in Germany. Dedicated to highest precision motion control, SmarAct develops piezo-based high performance micro- and nanopositioners, advanced control systems, laser interferometers and microtools for cutting-edge research and hightech industries. SmarAct Inc. is in need of a detailed-oriented, tech-savvy Sales Support Specialist to work closely together with our Sales team in Berkeley, CA. Responsibilities: * Process purchase orders, order confirmations, invoices, and shipping * Prepare and enter payments to the company's vendors * Organization of trade fairs, conferences, as well as travel planning and travel expenses * Assist in month-end closing procedures, creating sales and administration reports * Close cooperation with our German sales, logistics and manufacturing teams for project settlement * Coordination of delivery dates and quantities with our OEM clients * Complaint processing and management of returned goods * General administrative tasks and support to the sales team Qualifications required: * Hands-on experience in administrative and office support functions * Basic tointermediate bookkeeping skills * Proficiency in office software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, internet, etc. * Experience in database management and data entry * Excellent communication skills in oral and written English * Excellent organizational and time management skills Qualifications preferred: * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central * Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment * Service-oriented mentality and team player * Basic German skills are beneficial * Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We offer: * Exciting work environment with technically sophisticated products * Reliable training in the required fields * Friendly and open-minded team with high motivation and a lot of know how * The opportunity to get involved and realize your own ideas Equal Opportunity Statement SmarAct Inc. is committed to diversity and inclusion.
